DGS-105
Overview
The DGS-105 uses auto-sensing ports, so a small workgroup can flexibly connect Ethernet, Fast Ethernet and Gigabit devices in one integrated network. The ports detect the network speed through auto-negotiation, giving each connected device the maximum speed it supports.
All ports support automatic MDI/MDIX crossover, so no crossover cables are needed. Each port can connect directly to a server, hub, router or switch with regular straight-through twisted-pair Ethernet cables, and easy-to-access front ports with per-port LED indicators show the link status at a glance.
The DGS-105 uses green technology such as IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and link status detection. EEE reduces the switch's power consumption when network utilisation is low, lowering the cost of ownership during periods of inactivity.
The solid, compact metal case is built for durability, and the fanless design improves heat dissipation and allows noise-free operation. No configuration is required, making it easy for home and small office users to expand their wired networks.
