Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information the D-Link Middle East & Africa website (dlink-mea.com) collects, why, and the choices you have. The website is operated by D-Link Middle East FZE, P.O. Box 18224, Plot No. S31102, Jebel Ali Free Zone, South Dubai, United Arab Emirates ("D-Link", "we", "us").

Browsing the website.

You can browse the whole website without an account and without giving us your name or email. When you visit, we collect:

• Technical data that your browser sends automatically, such as IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you request. We use it to deliver and protect the website, including blocking abuse. Technical logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the website and are then deleted.
• Usage statistics. We use Umami, which runs on our own servers, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. Both count visits without cookies and without following you across other websites. Umami respects your browser's Do Not Track setting and does not record the query part of web addresses. When you use the search box, we record the search words (not who searched) so we can improve results and find missing products. Once a month we also send these visit totals, including the recorded search words, to an automated service from a third-party provider that helps us write an internal report on how the website is used. No names, contact details or IP addresses are included.
• Error reports. If a page fails, an error report is sent to our monitoring service (Sentry) so we can fix it. Form contents are removed from these reports.

We do not use Google Analytics, advertising networks, social media pixels or cross-site tracking. Our Where to Buy page shows business contact details that our partners give us and agree to publish.

Contact us form.

If you send an enquiry, we collect what you enter: name, company, email, phone (optional), country, partner type, company website and your message, plus the date and time you agreed to this policy. We use it only to answer your enquiry and to send it to the right D-Link team or country contact. We keep enquiries for 12 months and then delete them from our systems. Encrypted backup copies are kept for longer under our backup schedule, are not used for any other purpose, and are deleted in turn.

To route enquiries to the right team, we use an automated service from a third-party provider to sort them by type and topic. Only the enquiry type, country, company, partner type, company website and message are sent to that service; your name, email, phone number and IP address are not. Your full enquiry, including your contact details, goes only to the D-Link team that handles it.

We process enquiry data because you agree to it when you send the form, and browsing data to run and protect the website.

Chat assistant.

If we offer a chat assistant on this website, it is an automated service from a third-party provider. What you type in the chat is sent to that service to produce an answer. Please do not enter personal details in the chat.

Who receives your data.

D-Link Middle East FZE staff who handle your enquiry. Service providers that run the website for us: our hosting provider, Cloudflare (security, spam protection and statistics), our email provider, Sentry (error reports) and the automated services described above. They process data only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it. We do not sell your personal data and do not use it for advertising.

Where your data is processed.

Our service providers may process data outside your country. When they do, we use appropriate safeguards.

Security.

We protect the website and stored enquiries with access controls, encrypted backups and spam protection.

Your rights.

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, or to receive a copy. To make a request, use our Contact us form, choose Other and start your message with "Privacy request". You can also write to us at P.O. Box 18224, Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. We reply within 30 days. You can withdraw your consent at any time by asking us to delete your enquiry. If you are in the EU or UK, you may also complain to your local data protection authority.
