The DXS-1210 series includes layer 2 features such as port mirroring, Spanning Tree Protocol (STP), and Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP). They also support IP interfaces, ARP, IPv6 Neighbor Discovery (ND), default routing, IPv4/IPv6 static routing, IGMP and MLD Snooping, auto voice and surveillance VLAN, LLDP and LLDP-MED.

Improved intranet performance
Inter-VLAN routing allows traffic to be routed between VLANs without passing through the router, reducing the load on the router as well as the backbone networks.

The DXS-1210 Series comes with both RJ45 and SFP+ ports capable of connecting to Cat. 6 and fibre for 10G Ethernet. This means the DXS-1210 series can provide a flexible solution for upstream or downstream server connections, making network deployment easier.

The innovative D-Link Safeguard Engine protects the switches against traffic flooding caused by malicious attacks and increases overall network reliability.

These switches also feature Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) spoofing prevention which further protects the network from cyber attacks. They also use packet control ACLs to block invalid packets that contain fake ARP messages.

The Access Control List (ACL) helps protect the internal IT network through permission-based network access.

The DHCP server screen feature filters DHCP replies on unauthorised ports to prevent them from being assigned an IP address.

And support for 802.1X port-based and host-based authentication allows the network to be authenticated through external RADIUS servers.

D-Link Network Assistant
Built upon a highly-intuitive user interface, the D-Link Network Assistant (DNA) simplifies device configuration using the D-Link Discovery Protocol, auto-detecting supported devices and displaying them for port-level configurations.

When low-traffic or idle interface ports are detected, the DXS-1210 Series automatically transitions them into a low-power state, substantially reducing overall device power consumption. Furthermore, the DXS-1210 Series can determine the approximate length of cables attached to each port to apply just enough power for data transmission on that link, saving even more power while lowering total cost of ownership (TCO).
